Making of Collective Souls "Hollywood" Video

As Ed Roland front man for Collective Soul says “We’re enjoying being an independent band.” Roland says. “That was our choice and I believe it’s the way of the future. I’m not saying the major labels are bad, I just don’t think they’re necessary for every artist. It used to be that was the only way you had to get your music presented, which is the ultimate dream of any artist or songwriter, but now with the internet everything is different.”

Dean Roland sports a couple of Superdrive 30 heads, catch them at the beginning of the video in his rack.

Truefire/Premier Guitar Superdrive 30 Demo

Check out the latest Truefire/Premier Guitar online video of our Superdrive 30 combo. They did a great job showcasing the features of the 30 and demonstrating the wide range of tones the amp has to offer.

We nicknamed this amp The "dirty 30" at Budda headquarters. It is loaded with 4 EL84 power tubes that will peel the paint off the walls. They sound as big as EL34's and kick in our Dual Class Hot Biased AB circuit. Super aggressive distortion that is touch sensitive and won't color the sound of your guitar. The rhythm channel has lots of headroom, sparkle, chime and grit when you open up the master.

The 30 is the perfect amp to create your indie masterpiece. Visit budda.com for more info and call us toll free at: 877-866-3439 for a dealer near you.

Producer, Nick Raskulinecz talks about the new Rush record

Nick is the real deal when it comes to producers. He works only with the best, knows how to dial in phat rock tones, has the ears to back it up and an arsenal of Buddas to deliver. He has produced and engineered some killer records, including the Foo Fighters platinum selling "In Your Honor", Stone Sours "Come Whatever May" and the latest Rush record, "Snakes and Arrows".

Ahmed Mahmoud of Bamboo Shoots

We received an email from an excited, Ahmed and rightfully so. His band, "Bamboo Shoots" had just won MTV's best music on campus contest. MTV will be doing a documentary style production featuring the band and airing in the fall. Ahmed sports a Superdrive 30 112, and swears by the amps tone. As he put it in his email" I really don't think I'll need another company for amps, ever." . We don't think so either and welcome Ahmed to our artist camp. Congrats on winning the contest guys!

Alex Lifeson Rush/Budda video

We were excited to hear that our Superdrive 18 and 45 contributed to Alex Lifesons guitar tones on their latest record, "Snakes and Arrows".

Pictured above is Alex and Nick with our 18 1x12 combo loaded with our Phat 12 speaker. The 18 is a great amp for the studio and smaller venues. It offers plenty of power for 18 watts and throws more db's against the wall then any other amp in its power class.

Robert Randolph rockin with Budda

We dropped off Robert a custom Superdrive 45 head and Phat 12 cab in white tolex loaded with a pair of Groove Tube 6l6's. As the video link demonstrates below, the tone is extremely articulate and powerful in the hands of a master. Check out the tune "Aint Nothing Wrong With That" for a listen to the rockin' tones of the 45 and Roberts lap steel.

Buckcherry Rocks!

Stevie D. and Keith Nelson of Buckcherry are the real deal, no BS, plug in the Paul and let it rip. The bad boys of rock chose Budda to deliver their raw live tones and are sporting Twinmaster Collectors Edition combos and Superdrive 80 heads with our phat 4x12 cabinet. Stevie D's Superdrive 80 rig delivers the tone he has been looking for and his quote, "For simplicity, power and tone... NOTHING even comes close." pretty much sums it up. We are jacked to have the guys playing Budda rigs. Check out their website for tour dates.

Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Kramer

Podcast Mar/2006: Interview with producer Eddie Kramer

We are excited to announce our affiliation with legendary producer/engineer Eddie Kramer.

Any producer is only as good as the music he helps create. By this standard, Eddie Kramer must be regarded as a legend. In the course of a production and engineering career that has spanned 30 years, Kramer has been behind the boards for the biggest names in music -- The Rolling Stones, Traffic, Peter Frampton, Carly Simon, Joe Cocker, Johnny Winter, David Bowie, The Beatles and Bad Company, just to name a few.

But he is perhaps best known for three long-term associations in which he not only helped create some of the most important music of the rock era, but also set standards for rock production that set him aside as a true innovator. His work with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Kiss produced music which continues to influence rock musicians and producers today.

Download Podcast Mar/2006: Interview with producer Eddie Kramer. Or look for the clip in our Budda Audio Clips section at Budda.com.

We look forward to working with Eddie and are stoked to be working with the ears behind some of the greatest rock projects of the century!

Foo Fighters and Nick Raskulinecz

I just got off the phone with Nick Raskulinecz, producer of the latest Foo Fighters record, "In Your Honor".

He has an article out in Tape Op this month that showcases his work in the studio with Dave Grohl. Check it out.

I recently did an interview with Nick that you can listen to on our web site, budda.com. Look for it on the temple of tone page under the audio files.

Nick is one of the hottest producer/engineers that has great ears and knows tone. He has worked with Velvet Revolver, System of a Down and is currently in the studio with Stone Sour, featuring Slipknots front man, Corey Taylor.

For all you budding engineers, keep an eye out on Nick and pick up the latest issue of Tape Op at a stand near you.
